The Competitiveness Book, published in 2004, is part of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation's efforts towards accelerating the dissemination of information, moreover, it was designed to support the Ministry in raising the awareness of local industries to the relevance and importance of competitiveness in today's global economy.

The book was very well received with over 1,000 copies distributed to JNCT's various academic, business, government contacts and international counterparts such as the Competitiveness Institute, and World Economic Forum.

The book is split into four main sections.  The first begins by defining the work-scope of the Jordan National Competitiveness Team, by describing the team's work, and giving an overview of competitiveness theory and methodology.

The second section presents samples of the various cluster studies undertaken by the JNCT in narrative format, focusing on the industry assessment itself as well as any of the study's outcomes.

The third section concentrates on monitoring the competitive performance of Jordan, and provides examples of two of the reports that JNCT currently monitors.

The fourth section provides an overview of the continuity and future perspective for the team's coming endeavors and undertakings.

Below each of the fourteen chapters that are available within the book are listed to be downloaded at your own convience. We appreciate all comments you have on our work.
